About the role:
As Project Manager you'll support the project delivery team at Cruachan Power Station across a range of station wide projects that enable Drax to deliver its key business objectives. This includes the Cruachan Unit 3 and 4 upgrade project.
You'll ensure the successful completion of station projects within budget and programme ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include -
• Ensuring that the culture on the project delivery is Best in Class and embodies Drax values & behaviours.
• You'll be a leader across health, safety, environmental, quality and security of projects to ensure that they are recognised within the Hydros industry as Best in Class.
• Develop and manage the CAPEX project budget to secure the resources necessary to achieve the project objectives. This will include monthly reporting on actual and forecasted spends.
• Ensure that the technical performance of the contractors is of the highest level ensuring performance meets the requirements specified.
• Ensure the legal position for all contracts are fulfilled and delivered including following correct procedures and protocols.
Who we're looking for:
You'll need to hold a degree in a relevant subject such as Project Management or Engineering.
You'll have experience of developing and managing strong relationships with contractors and internal customers and experience of operating in a leadership position within an operational environment.
You should be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of project management including balancing cost, time and quality and have in depth knowledge of relevant legislations, e.g. health & safety, environment and construction law.
