The Vacancy

This is a 12-month fixed-term Project Manager role within IRIS's Professional Services team, focused on the implementation of IRIS Cascade HCM, our HR and people management software.

Your role is to help new customers successfully set up and start using the software. You'll guide them through the implementation process - planning the work, keeping communication clear, and making sure each project reaches go-live smoothly.

You won't be writing code or providing technical support. Instead, you'll focus on organisation, coordination, and communication, working with customers and internal delivery teams to keep projects on track and customers confident.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple pieces of work, and taking ownership of delivery.

Why This Role Matters

The implementation stage shapes how customers experience IRIS from day one.

Well-run projects lead to:
  • Confident, engaged customers
  • Strong adoption of IRIS Cascade HCM
  • Long-term customer relationships

Your work will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and retention.

About the Team You'll Join

You'll join a supportive team of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers within Professional Services, working specifically on IRIS Cascade HCM customer implementations.

You'll work closely with:
  • Customers and senior stakeholders
  • Implementation consultants and technical experts
  • PMO, Product, Customer Services, and Sales teams

The team values collaboration, shared learning, and practical problem-solving.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Professional Services delivery team, you'll:
  • Manage several customer implementation projects at the same time
  • Plan delivery timelines and track progress throughout the project
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers during implementation
  • Coordinate consultants, technical specialists, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, changes, and dependencies
  • Keep CRM systems and project documentation accurate and up to date
  • Support project closure and customer handover once live
  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers and colleagues

Your success will be measured by smooth delivery and well-prepared, confident customers.

What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in project coordination, customer delivery, or implementation work, but who don't need to be senior project managers.

You might come from:
  • Project coordination or junior project management roles
  • Customer onboarding or implementation teams
  • Professional services or consulting environments
  • SaaS, HR tech, payroll, or software delivery
  • Operations, PMO, or service delivery functions

You'll thrive in this role if you:
  • Are organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Enjoy planning, structure, and problem-solving
  • Can explain complex information in a simple, calm way
  • Take pride in accuracy and high-quality work
  • Work collaboratively and take ownership

Formal project management qualifications are helpful but not essential.

What You'll Gain

During this 12-month fixed-term contract, you'll gain:
  • Hands-on experience delivering customer-facing software projects
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Insight into how HR software is implemented in real customer environments
  • Strong foundations for future roles in project management, consulting, or customer delivery

Many people use this type of role to strengthen their delivery experience and progress into more senior positions.

Our Application Process

We've kept the process simple and supportive:

1⃣ Apply online
Submit your CV and a short summary of your interest.

2⃣ Initial Interview (plus Online Assessments)
A relaxed interview with our Talent Acquisition team, plus two short online assessments (unless completed in the last 12 months).
