Why this job matters
As a 5G Enabled Solutions Project Manager, you'll play a critical role in delivering next-generation solutions across 5G, IoT, Edge and AI. Your work directly shapes customer experience and drives the success of some of the most complex and high-impact technology programmes in the business.
This role goes far beyond traditional project management. You'll lead the full delivery lifecycle-owning major programmes end-to-end, shaping propositions, influencing solution design, working with industry experts, and bringing together large matrix teams to deliver high-visibility, high-value outcomes for customers. Your leadership, decisions, and ability to unblock challenges will define the success of these game-changing solutions.
What you'll be doing
• Leading the delivery of large, complex and high-risk projects, programmes, or portfolios.
• Owning project planning, forecasting and delivery commitments across pre-sales and delivery stages.
• Bridging the gap between product, propositions and technical solution teams.
• Building and leading complex delivery organisations across project managers, technical experts, hub resources and third-party partners.
• Championing customer needs and ensuring contracted service levels and business outcomes are met.
• Managing scope, change control, governance, risk, and programme reporting.
• Setting and controlling significant delivery budgets, ensuring costs stay within agreed limits.
• Creating and driving governance structures with customers, account teams, programme teams and service managers.
• Ensuring solutions and deliverables meet quality standards and are accepted by the customer.
• Providing clear direction on scope, timelines, budgets and quality metrics.
• Ensuring PMO methodologies, tools and processes are consistently applied.
• Anticipating future resourcing demand and ensuring the PMO has full visibility.
• Leading mobilisation of new programmes and delivering brilliant customer experiences.
What experience you'll need
• Strong experience delivering complex, multi-million-pound IT or network technology projects (£5m-£20m typical).
• A proven background as a Project Manager working with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders (e.g. IT Managers, Programme Managers).
• Advanced project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, APM RPP (or equivalent).
• Demonstrable success building and leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
• Expertise in risk management, financial tracking, stakeholder engagement and communication planning.
• Experience navigating large organisations to remove internal barriers and drive delivery progress.
• A track record of producing accurate, timely management information to support senior-level decision-making.
• Ability to coach teams, foster high performance and champion continuous improvement.
