Overview

We are looking for talented Project Managers, ideally with consultancy experience, to join us at Expleo. This client-facing role will lead projects in collaboration with our clients across a wide range of IT deliveries.

We have an immediate need for a Project Manager with extensive Infrastructure (Data Centre, Networking, App Connectivity) experience ideally able to work with a team to build a solution to support a new retail bank.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders, as well as internal and external teams. The programme follows a Waterfall delivery approach, so strong experience with Waterfall methodologies is essential.

Expleo works across multiple clients and industries, so there is an expectation that you will contribute to the continued growth of the Practice as time allows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives
• Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies
• Monitor project budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues
• Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards
• Lead technical teams, capable of engaging with architects, SMEs, and technical workstreams
• Bring IT colleagues on the delivery journey through clear communication, challenge, and support
• Flex focus, direction, and workload as required throughout the programme lifecycle

Qualifications

• Desirable Certifications: MAPM, PMP, Prince2

Essential skills

• Excellent client-facing skills
• An understanding of IT infrastructure
• Strong understanding of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to understand and lead system development, implementation and data integrations
• Strong understanding of Waterfall methodologies
• People management skills to focus and lead teams in complex projects
• Strong stakeholder management skills

Desired skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project

Experience

• Experience managing technical delivery, including design, integrations, data flows, and architectural impacts
• Experience leading large-scale IT projects, including systems development, infrastructure, and data projects, with associated business and organisational change
• Experience leading Waterfall-based projects
• Experience working with 3rd-party vendors and managing integration-focused deliveries
• SAP delivery experience is desirable, particularly involvement in providing connectivity to SAP environments within a broader ecosystem (e.g. system integration, testing, data)
• Experience within the retail banking or automotive is desirable but not essential

What do I need before I apply

• The expectation is that you will be able to work on client site in Buckinghamshire 1 - 2 days per week
