General Management About the role
Join Connect Plus Services as a Project Manager and lead the delivery of complex highways and technology schemes across the M25 DBFO Network. You will manage projects from feasibility, design, and construction through to handover, ensuring all work meets the six key performance areas: Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, Environment, Delivery, and People.
Projects range in value from £100k to £4m+ and include M&E, technology, lighting, drainage, and highway schemes. In this role, you will provide strong leadership to project teams, drive performance, and maintain compliance with contract requirements.
What you'll be doing
You will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including the Portfolio Manager, Senior Project Managers, construction teams, and internal and external partners, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and effective reporting of performance.
You will plan, resource, and oversee programmes throughout the project lifecycle, identifying risks, dependencies, and constraints, and implementing solutions to overcome challenges. You will commission and manage Framework Contractors and Designers, setting clear expectations for health and safety, time, and cost, and taking corrective action where required.
You will manage NEC contract options, maintain accurate project records, and ensure permits, certificates, and site reporting align with project requirements. You will also contribute to the delivery of sustainability initiatives, including net zero and biodiversity net gain objectives.
Who we're looking for
We are seeking a proactive Project Manager with proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently. You will be a strong collaborator, capable of influencing a wide range of stakeholders and driving positive outcomes.
You will be commercially focused, with experience managing contracts to achieve project objectives, and resilient in managing conflicting priorities and setbacks. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, along with experience mentoring or coaching junior team members. You must be capable of developing and maintaining project plans, evaluating performance using key metrics, and delivering solutions that support the business vision and objectives.
A full UK driving licence is required, and willingness to travel to other offices, depots, and site visits (including night shifts) is essential.
