Sheffield City Council is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join the Sheffield Role Review Programme (SRRP) Team as a Project Manager with a focus on managing communication and engagement activity.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the communication efforts for a high-profile, people-centred initiative that ensures equal pay for all council employees. You will play a pivotal role in connecting stakeholders, generating understanding, and fostering collaboration across the organisation.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead the communication and engagement activities for the SRRP, ensuring that employees, Trade Unions, directors, Members, schools and external partners are informed, involved, and aligned with the programme's goals. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will drive the planning, delivery, and evaluation of communication initiatives, ensuring they resonate with diverse audiences and help build trust and transparency.
Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing a comprehensive communication and engagement strategy tailored to the SRRP's objectives.
• Coordinating with senior stakeholders, trade unions, and employees to ensure inclusive and effective communication across all levels.
• Leading on the creation of clear, concise, and compelling messaging for various formats, including presentations, briefings, reports, and digital channels.
• Managing project risks and ensuring accurate and timely progress updates to governance boards.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the SRRP's communication efforts.

• A proven track record in leading communication and engagement activities within large-scale projects or programmes.

• A strong understanding of current communication tools and strategies, as well as the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
• The ability to influence and inspire stakeholders to contribute to enhance the programmes delivery.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.
