Location: Craigavon OR Athlone OR Edinburgh

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00 flexible working. This means you will have flexibility to work up remaining hours for the week outside of these core hours. You will also be eligible to apply for hybrid working in this role upon successful completion of probation

The Role

Almac Sciences provides an integrated and bespoke API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) manufacturing service to the pharmaceutical industry, supported by comprehensive scientific expertise. Our global client base ranges from small biotechnology companies to Top 20 pharmaceutical organisations. The products we manufacture are used by our clients in toxicity studies and in Clinical Trials (Phases 1-3) to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of new drugs prior to commercial approval.

When a new project is awarded to Almac Sciences, a dedicated project team is assigned, with the Project Manager leading the successful delivery of all project activities.

This role is a key position within both the Almac Sciences Project Management team and the wider business. The Project Manager is responsible for independently managing the project, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through to completion. Acting as the primary client contact, the Project Manager leads all communication and consistently ensures a high level of client service and satisfaction. The Project Manager also manages all commercial aspects of the project ensuring that the project progresses efficiently meeting both Almac business needs and the needs of the client.

What we are looking for

Essential requirements:
• BSc (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline
• Experience in a technical, quality or project management role, within the pharmaceutical sector, supporting cGMP API or Drug Product manufacture.

Desirable Criteria :
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary project team environment within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Project
