About this job

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager and Systems Analyst/Developer to join the children's social care national reform programme "Families First" team in Barking and Dagenham. Working as a member of the Families First Partnership Programme Delivery Team and with colleagues from our Data, Insight and Intelligence Service, you will take responsibility for the project management of the design, build, testing and implementation of new system workflows, forms and interfaces. You will work closely with service leads, system specialists, suppliers and programme colleagues to ensure that the right digital tools, data capture and reporting structures are in place to support high-quality and sustainable service change

Strong understanding of Liquidlogic, database structures, and system configuration.- The ability to translate service and process redesign into workflows, forms, data capture and reporting structures.- Experience working with suppliers, developing specifications and coordinating technical delivery.- Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management and reporting.- Experience of system testing, troubleshooting and managing data migration challenges.- The ability to work collaboratively across the council and with partners (health, police, education).- Experience preparing costed proposals and business-ready system design options.- Commitment to high standards of information governance, confidentiality, equality, diversity and data protection.- Confidence facilitating workshops and supporting colleagues through change.- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, innovation and solution-focused working.

About us

In Barking & Dagenham, we are ambitious for our children, young people and families. Our Children's Care and Support Service is delivering a bold and wide-ranging transformation programme to redesign practice, strengthen early intervention and ensure services are sustainable, high-quality and fit for the future. You'll be joining a values-led organisation that promotes inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement. We are committed to delivering high-quality, needs-led services that reflect our statutory responsibilities and our dedication to equality, diversity and the wellbeing of our workforce and communities.
