Cadent is the UK's largest Gas Distribution Company, operating 4 of the 8 UK Gas Distribution Networks (East of England, London, NorthWest and West Midlands). Their service spans over 131,000 kilometres of pipes supplying to 11 million homes & businesses. Costain is the preferred bidder for the East of England

Costain is closely aligned with Cadent's objectives, embedding governance, assurance, and value engineering principles across every stage of project delivery, while ensuring transparency and accountability throughout. The end-to-end Project Management Office (PMO), led by the PMO Lead, will enable Cadent to maintain full visibility over project investments and improve forecast accuracy - guaranteeing successful delivery of Cadent's Capital Delivery Integrated Security Solution

The role will be home based, but weekly travel attendance in the Coventry office

Responsibilities

• Directly support projects and programmes to enable delivery, providing guidance to Project Managers
• Support Project Managers with Project Controls and coordinating responses
• Produce information and reports for Governance meetings within Capital Delivery
• Ensure all new and in-flight projects follow the agreed project methodologies and have appropriate governance in place that support successful delivery of projects
• Provide a "single source of the truth" for information to Project Managers, which is accurate and relevant in-line with the mantra of "no surprises"
• Document the Risk Management Plan to provide a clear methodology, including specific project Risk Management Plans
• Lead Risk Identification by hosting risk workshops, risk interviews and data collation

Qualifications

Essential

• Good understanding project management methodologies
• Good communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
