We are looking for a Works-Project Manager F/M to join our teams at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) which honours the 1.7 million men and womenof the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars,ensuring they will never be forgotten. Our work commemorates the war dead, frombuilding and maintaining our cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations inmore than 150 countries to preserving our extensive records and archives. Ourvalues and aims, laid out in 1917, are as relevant now as they were 100 yearsago.
Location : Beaurains office - Rue Angèle Richard, CS10109, Beaurains 62217. National travel, sometimes lasting several days, will be necessary depending on the operations to be supervised.
Contract type : Permanent Contract
Salary : To be determined according to profile
Benefits : Medical insurance (Mutuelle) - Provident Scheme (Prévoyance) - 13th month from 6 months of seniority
Working hours: Full time - 37,5h/week

Job Description :

Within the Works Department, you will join a team of four project managers supervising these operations, which are entrusted to specialist contractors.Key responsibilities:
Construction project management :
- Manage structural projects as project owner and/or project manager, from feasibility to final acceptance of works (from technical diagnosis to acceptance operations), ensuring compliance with French legislation, CWGC procedures and standards.
- Ensure compliance with costs, deadlines and quality standards by rigorously monitoring progress using CWGC-approved project management tools (internal PMO software, contract publication platform, etc.).
- Help draw up the general plan for restoring the CWGC's built heritage.
Reporting :
- Draft and present weekly and monthly reports to management in France and internationally (CWGC headquarters in England).
Health, Safety & Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with the CWGC's Health and Safety policy.
- Check that facilities comply with regulations and suggest technical or technological improvements (innovation, sustainable development, etc.).
Authorisations and institutional coordination :
- Manage the necessary authorisation requests (protected sites or otherwise), including any potential grant applications linked to the project.
- Liaise with public institutions (DRAC, DREAL, etc.) and external partners.
Potential duties (as required) :
- Manage routine maintenance of CWGC buildings and associated contracts.
- Carry out technical inspections of sites and memorials, and record data in the dedicated tool.
- Independently monitor maintenance cycle projects with external partners in direct contact.
- Analyse, monitor and manage land development files relating to projects located around CWGC sites (construction, wind turbines, etc.).
Desired profile
- Two to five years of higher education with at least two years' experience in construction/building project management
- Knowledge of contract documents (public/private) and tendering procedures
- Microsoft Office and AutoCAD LT (preferred)
- Strong administrative project management skills, proven organisational abilities, initiative and foresight, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) will be valuable assets in joining our teams and participating fully in the development of our business

- Responsibility for health and safety for oneself and others.
- Valid B driving licence
