BULK FOR LIFE
From the electricity that powers your home to the vehicle that gets you to work and even the bread on your table - all rely on the movement of bulk commodities. And chances are, these essential materials passed through one of HES International's terminals. With a team of over 1,300 dedicated professionals, we operate 24/7 to ensure seamless delivery of bulk commodities for our customers across the globe. As Europe's largest multi-purpose independent bulk handling company, we excel in managing liquid and dry bulk products, connecting deep-draft terminals to inland distribution networks via pipeline, barge, truck, and train.

Join our dynamic team and contribute to an industry leader committed to shaping the future of bulk logistics. Together, we keep the world's essential commodities moving - powering economies and improving everyday life.

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE AN IMPACT?
Are you ready to lead a portfolio of Europe's most groundbreaking energy transition projects? At our terminals in Wilhelmshaven and Rotterdam, we are developing cutting-edge New Energies facilities that will play a key role in reducing industrial emissions across Europe. Core pillars of our New Energies portfolio include the development of new CO₂ terminals in both locations and hydrogen derivatives import and processing facilities in Wilhelmshaven.

These projects are initiated and driven by our small, agile New Energies team in close collaboration with partners and experienced terminal teams. This is where innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration come together - and we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to turn ambition into reality.

Drive the future of clean energy at Europe's latest New Energies Hubs
"As Technical Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the realization of our New Energies projects in Wilhelmshaven and Rotterdam. You will unite local and central teams, connect technical, commercial, and strategic functions, and turn ambition into execution. From shaping the technical concept and coordinating the sourcing strategy to delivering a successful go-live, you will guide every step of these ambitious developments."
- Otto Waterlander, Director New Energies

YOUR ROLE

  • Coordinate and oversee technical feasibility studies for newly identified projects.
  • Manage the selection process for FEED consultants, EPC(M) partners, and other technical engineering work.
  • Develop the overarching technical concept for New Energies terminals, ensuring efficient resource use and optimal integration with existing operations in Wilhelmshaven and Rotterdam.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for the technical realization of projects in scope.
  • Own the technical section of the business case, providing transparency on DEVEX, OPEX, and CAPEX development.

  • Support subsidy applications by developing technical input aligned with award criteria.
  • Serve as technical and project expert during negotiations of key agreements-from Heads of Agreement to final Terminal Use Agreements.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Leads for CO₂ and H₂ and report directly to the New Energies Director.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • An engineering background and project management experience with large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • A pragmatic mindset with the ability to identify and implement the right solutions during project development.
  • Strong leadership skills: capable of bringing together teams across disciplines and cultures.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in an international environment.
  • Fluency in English; German or Dutch is an advantage.
