The Vacancy

BWGM Joint Venture brings together the extensive water-sector expertise of two RSK companies-Binnies UK and WGM Engineering. Combining over 100 years of engineering excellence with industry-leading design, fabrication, specialist coatings, and workshop capabilities, BWGM delivers high-quality, self-delivered solutions across the water industry.

We specialise in non-infrastructure project delivery, including turnkey capital programmes, new build works, capital maintenance, process plant integration, and commissioning. Our in-house self-delivery model enhances assurance, safety, quality, communication, affordability, and innovation across every project. With a commitment to continuous improvement, carbon reduction, and social value, we aim to transform how projects are delivered within local communities.

We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Projects team. In this role, you will lead multiple projects from inception to completion-ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be the central point of coordination, driving project performance and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend client, design team, and subcontractor meetings as required.
  • Manage and promote Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality processes across all sites.
  • Oversee and verify comprehensive site surveys and measurements.
  • Support accurate HSEQ documentation across office and site teams.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare supplier and subcontractor enquiry packages and work with Procurement to secure competitive and compliant pricing.
  • Present detailed pricing breakdowns at internal tender reviews.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery.
  • Work closely with internal teams and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Provide buildability insights to the estimating team.
  • Liaise with Clients, Sub-Contractors, Design teams and Commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Input into programme development, including interface planning and third-party coordination.
  • Support project deliverables, including commissioning, handover, and final acceptance.
  • Report regularly to the Projects Director or Contracts Delivery Manager on progress, risks, and emerging issues.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar project management role, ideally within engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of the water industry (advantageous).
  • Understanding of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering.
  • A hands-on approach with strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple sites.
