Process Engineering Manager:

CCL Global are hiring for a Process Engineering Manager to work for an Oil and Gas operator out if Iraq, on a rotational basis. 

Working Conditions:

• Field based rotational role on a 4/4 base.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and direct process optimization at both PFs to maximise safe production throughput through daily operations oversight, working closely with the Operations, Development, Production and Subsurface teams.
• Develop and own a capacity model for the field infrastructure (Downstream choke to Export). Provide ranked recommendations to address present and future capacity constraints.
• Provide input to integrated asset schedule.
• Design/implementation of debottlenecking and reliability improvement projects.
• Lead and train a process optimisation team comprising a local workforce
• Support/direct operations team with troubleshooting, plant optimization and root cause analysis.
• Manage Production loss identification, coordinate RCFA and recommend mitigations (Opex/Capex) to improve reliability and availability of plant and process equipment.
• Identify opportunities to reduce lifting cost through structured problem solving
• Support the different functions across the company e.g. Projects, Production / Operations teams, including the preparation of engineering queries and review of management of change (MOC) documentation.
• Provide process engineering input to assist in the creation of work scopes for process related studies (e.g. conceptual, feasibility, etc.)
• Provide process engineering input to engineering project work, including review of engineering documents such as P&IDs, C&Es, etc.
• Review specifications recommended by Operations and Development for process equipment and assess their suitability.
• Participate in project HAZOPs, as required. Review actions from previous HAZOPs and progress their completion.
• Promote an integrated approach within a multi-disciplinary team to incorporate process, mechanical and E&I engineering expertise into the design and operation of company facilities.
• Interface with other company engineers to ensure that best practices are defined and shared.
• Support companies core values of safety and sustainability, pursuit of excellence, trust, working together, and courage and creativity.
• Responsible for scoping out potential improvement projects and compiling cost estimates for budget inclusion.
• Planning of expenditure and project cost controls.

Requirements:

• Must have a B.Sc. in Chemical or Process Engineering from a recognised University.
• Preferred – Masters of Engineering (MEng) degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas experience in Process Engineering.  
• Minimum of 5 years of sour gas / sour oil exposure. 
• Excellent exposure to upstream exploration and production, especially in high H2S oil production operations
• Able to handle multiple work fronts across different areas falling outside Process Engineering within tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work and succeed in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Has demonstratable experience in managing minor capital projects in operational setting.
• Knowledge of internationally applicable design codes and standards
• International experience particularly within the MENA region is preferred
• Cultural sensitivity and experience working with different cultures.  
• Able to mentor and train National workforce
• Must have a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Excellent grasp of both written and spoken English including the ability to create technical documents/reports and critically review the same.
