Director, Indir Procurement (Strategic)

Role: Full-time, permanent

Location: Stockley Park, West London

Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits

The Role

Responsible for developing and executing the indirect procurement strategy to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance across all non-production categories. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, drives innovation in sourcing practices, and fosters strong supplier relationships to deliver long term value.

Strategy Development & Execution
• Define and implement a global indirect procurement strategy aligned with corporate goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
• Develop category strategies for areas such as IT, Marketing, Professional Services, Facilities, Travel,

and HR.

Supplier Management & Negotiation
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance and innovation.
• Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations and sustainability standards.

Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with senior leadership and functional heads to understand business needs and priorities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure procurement initiatives deliver maximum value.

Governance & Risk Management
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management and enforce ethical sourcing practices.

Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and mentor a team of category managers and procurement professionals based offshore
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Set clear performance objectives and monitor progress against KPIs.

The Person

• Degree level education preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
• MBA or equivalent preferred
• 10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on indirect
• categories.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Strong understanding of procurement technology platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
