The Software Project Manager will lead key workstreams within the Lean Engineering Growth initiative, with a focus on enhancing products and tools that improve workflow efficiency for global field engineering teams during BAS deployments across Global Controls Engineering. This role will work closely with global teams responsible for developing products and tools, as well as with field engineering teams that use them. The selected candidate will oversee a global software team, ensuring the on--me delivery of high-quality products and tools that meet the requirements of EMEA field engineering.

How you will do it
Key Responsibilities Program & Workstream Leadership
- Lead and manage one of the four strategic workstreams under the Lean Engineering Growth initiative, focused on Controls Toolset Modernization
- Coordinate an international group of engineers, SMEs, and stakeholders across multiple European countries
- Ensure alignment between business goals, engineering capabilities, and project timelines
Workshops, Analysis & Requirements Definition
- Organize and facilitate workshops across Europe to analyze current workflows, identify gaps, and capture improvement opportunities
- Document findings, prioritize enhancements, and translate them into clear, accountable requirements for engineering teams
- Break down complex improvement areas into structured development ac-vi-es and feature specifications
Project Execution & Delivery
- Oversee the full lifecycle of tool enhancement projects, from requirement definition through development, testing, and deployment
- Track progress against milestones, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring "on -me, on budget" delivery
- Monitor development status, validate feature implementation, and ensure alignment with workshop outcomes and user expectations
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and maintain delivery momentum
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Engage with Subject Master Experts (SMEs), engineering leaders, and regional stakeholders to gather feedback and validate tool improvements
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Manage expectations, negotiate priori-es, and maintain strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape. Continuous Improvement
- Promote best practices in workflow optimization, tool usability, and engineering efficiency
- Support the broader transformation agenda by identifying systemic issues and proposing scalable solutions.
What we look for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Proven experience in software project management, ideally within engineering, automation, or building technologies
- Strong understanding of software development processes, tool ecosystems, and workflow optimization
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-country projects with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading workshops and driving consensus
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Availability to travel across Europe as required.
- Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), Product Owner (CSPO/PSPO), or SAFe Agilist for Agile delivery
- Experience with BMS systems, Metasys tools, or engineering tool modernization initiatives
- Ability to translate operational pain points into structured technical requirements
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, transformation-driven environments.
