Role Summary
The Project Manager - Building Technology & Innovation at PIMCO Prime Real Estate is responsible for delivering project management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments across our geographies.
The role involves active contribution on the definition of overall building technology and cyber security strategy related to the assets under management, defining and tracking project timelines and budgets, anticipating and mitigating risks, supporting contract management of external service providers and onboarding, and ensuring compliance with technical and performance specifications.
The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in building technology and cybersecurity controls and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Expertise in Proptech, smart building technologies, and IoT deployment is also required to drive innovation and ensure robust cyber protection across digital devices, assets and building systems. Hands-on experience with smart building platforms, IoT device integration, and applying cybersecurity best practices to connected environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Support program governance across complex, multi-stakeholder real estate and technology initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment with PIMCO Prime's portfolio objectives and long-term value creation.
- Define portfolio-level planning and prioritization, establishing robust frameworks for budget allocation, timeline optimization, and performance management across multiple concurrent programs.
- Identify operational, financial, and technological risks, and steer cross-functional teams through mitigation strategies that protect asset performance and investor expectations.
- Support the central coordination point (Program Lead) between internal PIMCO Prime functions and external partners (PM/FM/Consultants), enabling seamless execution, operational alignment, and elevated stakeholder communication.
- Establish portfolio-wide quality, compliance, and security benchmarks, ensuring all projects meet regulatory requirements, internal policies, and performance specifications across diverse asset classes.
- Support in executive-level reporting and insights, consolidating complex program data into clear dashboards and narratives for senior leadership, investment teams, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate the deployment of cyber secured smart building systems, and IoT architectures, ensuring all innovations strengthen operational efficiency, tenant experience, and asset resilience.
- Advise asset teams on emerging technologies and digital transformation opportunities, informing investment decisions and long-term technology strategy.
Key Requirements
- Master's Degree in Building Engineering or Telecommunication with additional MBA in Project or Technology Management.
- 5 years' experience.
- Demonstrated project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity controls, incident response, and compliance.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Experience in real estate, asset management, or building technology projects.
- Track record in proptech, smart building, and IoT project delivery.
- Knowledge of IoT protocols, smart building platforms, and proptech innovation trends is a plus.
- Experience deploying and securing IoT devices and smart building systems in real estate environments.
