Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Bank's 2026 Priority Change Initiatives, including the implementation of an Enterprise Data Lake, Enterprise Power BI platform, and Data Governance framework.
This role requires strong project governance, vendor management, and financial oversight skills, combined with awareness of modern data and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Power BI, and DevOps. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives, while managing multiple vendors and internal stakeholders in a complex environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives, while managing multiple vendors and internal stakeholders in a complex environment.
Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that all project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Establish and maintain robust project governance, reporting, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management.
- Drive adherence to PMO standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Vendor & Financial Management
- Act as the primary interface with vendors delivering data platform components.
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Manage financial governance: track budgets, validate invoices, monitor cost-to-completion, and report variances.
- Support procurement processes, including RFPs, SoWs, and contract negotiations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.
- Provide clear, concise project updates to steering committees and executive sponsors.
- Facilitate decision-making and resolve conflicts across multiple workstreams.
Planning & Risk Management
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and addressing issues as they arise to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure readiness for go-live, including testing, training, and change management.
Technical Awareness (Not Hands-On)
- Understand the high-level architecture and capabilities of Snowflake, Power BI, and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Ensure technical decisions align with enterprise standards and security/compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge & Experience
- 7+ years in project management, with at least 3+ years delivering large-scale data or analytics programmes.
- Proven experience managing vendors and multi-million-pound budgets in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile delivery).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
- Strong financial management skills: forecasting, cost control, and benefits tracking.

Qualifications and Certifications
- Degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Financial Management / Governance Training (advantageous).
- Technical Awareness: Snowflake, Power BI, DevOps (conceptual level).
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., banking, financial services).
- Familiarity with Azure data services (ADLS Gen2, Purview).
- Professional certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation.
- Cloud Fundamentals (e.g., Microsoft Azure AZ-900).
