We are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, business critical projects and initiatives that transform how Dalcour Maclaren works. Sitting within the Innovation Team, the role will lead multiple complex projects, involving digital, data, and technical solutions, to drive operational excellence, improve client experience, and enable our long-term strategic ambitions.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a high accountability environment: able to work to strong governance standards where they exist, and equally confident creating structure and clarity where standards are emerging. The role requires exceptional delivery discipline, stakeholder leadership, and the ability to execute strategic objectives into practical results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple, projects and initiatives within the Innovation portfolio, ensuring they meet agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Manage delivery of digital and technical solutions, working closely with internal capability teams and third-party partners.

  • Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, or hybrid), selecting the right approach per project.

  • Establish, embed, and continuously improve delivery governance, RAIDs, change control and reporting.

  • Produce accurate, proactive plans and forecasts, using structured methodologies to manage schedules, milestones, risks, capacity, and financials across the innovation project portfolio.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, sponsors, and operational teams, ensuring alignment between project outcomes and business priorities.

  • Facilitate stakeholder groups and decision boards, ensuring clear project representation at governance forums and supporting sponsors with concise reporting, insights, and proactive risk/issue management.

  • Provide delivery leadership across multidisciplinary teams, including business SMEs, technical specialists, and external suppliers.

  • Represent the Innovation Team as a delivery expert, shaping ways of working, contributing to strategic planning, and leading DevOps practices to support consistent, high-quality delivery across innovation projects.

  • Work closely with IT operations, change, communications, and adoption leads to ensure projects land successfully and deliver measurable business impact.

  • Support the BA in benefits definition and tracking, contributing to business cases and ensuring benefits are planned, monitored, and positioned for realisation.

  • Support continuous improvement of delivery processes, including lessons learned cycles and capability uplift across Dalcour Maclaren.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record delivering multiple, complex projects cross functional or transformational in nature.

  • Experience delivering digital or technical solutions within a large consultancy, or enterprise scale organisation.

  • Experience leading projects within broader transformation programmes, including changes to systems, processes, and behaviours.

  • Strong background working with both waterfall and agile methodologies and confidence in selecting/justifying the right approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to create or strengthen delivery governance, particularly in environments with evolving standards.

  • Experience managing multivendor landscapes and third-party delivery partners.

  • Core Senior Project Management Competencies (aligned to SFIA)

  • Project Planning & Control: Expert ability to create, manage, and assure project plans, schedules, RAIDs, dependency maps, and benefits frameworks.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional relationship management and communication skills; able to navigate senior stakeholders and conflicting priorities.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactive identification, analysis, mitigation and escalation of delivery risks with a structured, evidence-based approach.

  • Financial & Commercial Acumen: Skilled at managing budgets, forecasts, supplier contracts, and commercial negotiations.

  • Leadership & Team Enablement: Ability to motivate cross functional teams, set direction, and create a positive, delivery focused culture.

  • Change Management Awareness: Understanding of organisational change impacts and experience integrating change/adoption activities into project plans.

Qualifications & Desirable Experience

  • Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, MSP, Scrum Master, AgilePM, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience working within technical, digital, data, or innovation environments.

  • Exposure to business analysis, product delivery, or service design disciplines
