Job Summary
You will play a vital part in this transformation programme, working with a team who are seeking to save costs for NHSBT and have a major impact on the donor experience.
Your tasks will be hugely varied, ranging from building mutually beneficial relationships with other public sector organisations and venue suppliers, to extracting and manipulating data in order to identify cost-saving efficiencies.
Seeing your projects through from initial concept to final completion, your recommendations will be supported by detailed analysis, and will be meticulously documented with flawless project management reporting techniques.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing Blood Supply projects to timely and successful conclusions.
Ensure that intended project outcomes are in alignment with the business strategies, that all project budgets are managed effectively, and all operational needs are met.
Under the direction of the Programme and Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the management of specific projects, ensuring that they are managed to the highest professional standards and comply with all relevant internal and external standards, regulation and instructions.
Deputising for the Programme and Portfolio Manager as required and supporting assurance of projects and programmes across the organisation.
Supporting Blood Supply portfolio build planning and reporting processes.You may be expected to manage more than one project at any given time at different stages in their lifecycle.
Participate in the development and improvement of the NHSBT Portfolio, Programme and Project Management tools and methods.Maintenance of all project artefacts, for example project/programme board update packs, project plans, runbooks, RAIDD logs.
