Team Objectives
- Plan for and Achieve Commercial Success - Develop and execute customer-based Sales and Support Services Plans which collectively achieve our revenue and margin targets as set out in our 5-year Strategic Objectives
- Focus on Customers - Concentrate efforts on providing support to, and developing new support service offerings for, existing customers and demonstrate to them that Griffon is a good Service Provider. Improve and increase communication with customers about progress on their projects and spares orders as well as their training and upkeep requirements and share good-practise and new development news. Handle specific customer communication, responses and bids so as to become the Point of Contact for that customer, issuing them controlled pricing, product and service information. Manage all post-delivery requirements including warranty and further contractual obligations.
- Determine, Review and Manage Requirements - Actively seek out, determine, understand and define customer, Griffon's statutory and regulatory requirements to provide Griffon an opportunity to supply. Relentlessly conduct reviews of identified requirements, contracts and orders to; prioritise effort, ensure we are capable of meeting the requirements and check they meet our strategic objectives. Continually identify risks and opportunities which impact the conformity of our products or services to the requirements or objectives and address them. Manage any variations to requirements or offering and communicate those effectively.
- Deliver Technical Services - Engage, develop and retain competent productive personnel to deliver marine training and In-Service technical services to customers to meet their requirements both in the UK and Overseas.
- Assist with achieving the Team Objectives
- Report progress towards Objectives
- Manage the planning and delivery of Engineering Technical Services to customers including Warranty support.
- Manage the Warranty Process
- Work throughout the business to improve quality and reduce Warranty Claims
- Work with other managers and team leaders to achieve the objectives of the business and department and to promote the company values.
- Work to continuously improve personal and overall business performance and quality
- Take ownership of KPIs, including their delivery, day-to-day management, and reporting to the wider business
- Maintain standards for Health and safety
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership ability to lead multi - disciplined teams.
- Demonstrate process management experience within an engineering environment
- Technical knowledge in relevant engineering subjects
- Knowledge of Griffon products and service offerings
- Ability to coach and develop other members of staff
- Numerate, Analytical skills and the ability to report verbally and in writing concisely
- Capable of working with customers, suppliers and staff at all levels
- Ability to wok to the GML Values and Behaviours
Experience:
- Proven project management experience (marine, maritime, engineering preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills-management skills
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and technical documentation
- Strong problem solving mindset and attention to detail-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies
- Degree in engineering, marine studies, project management, or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, PMP)
- Experience working with classification societies or regulatory bodies
- Knowledge of HSE standards within marine environments
- Strong understanding of marine operations, shipyard environments, or marine engineering processes
