What to expect

The Project Manager is a key member of the Transformation team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling the Post Office behaviours, and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.

Project Managers will manage, and lead projects end to end, working cross functionally to deliver business solutions, ensuring that the critical success factors are met while scope, time, quality and cost of the projects are maintained. Demonstrating strong senior stakeholder management skills to ensure that communication is clear and concise, and deliverables are progressed, contributing towards overall programme and portfolio outcomes. They will embody a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance, with a key focus on delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working within large commercial or retail organisations, with a proven ability to operate effectively in heavily governed environments (e.g., Banking and Financial Services, Public Sector, Retail or Franchise Operating Models).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication styles and collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes and business decisions.
  • End to end leadership of commercial projects, from initial scoping and requirements gathering through to delivery, implementation, and post go live support.
  • Ability to drive delivery across cross functional teams, technical SMEs, external suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working with 3rd party suppliers, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, relationship management, and performance monitoring.
  • A trusted advisor with the ability to apply knowledge of their own specialism as well as knowledge of related areas.
  • Commercial business acumen with the ability to make data-driven business decision
  • Strong budget management and funding knowledge
