Your role
As a Technical Project Manager at Munich Electrification, you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex battery and electronics projects across automotive and stationary energy applications. You act as the main interface between customers and internal teams, owning quality, cost, and timing across the full project lifecycle. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you anticipate risks, drive technical and organizational alignment, and ensure projects are delivered from concept through industrialization with excellence.

Your role

Your future tasks at a glance
- Customer Interface & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary senior contact for customers, managing requirements, change requests, troubleshooting, and escalations.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Own project planning, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and at required quality levels.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks; assess change impacts on cost, timing, and quality.
- Dynamic Execution & Decision Velocity: Operate effectively in a fast-changing environment with high decision velocity, balancing incomplete information, risk, and stakeholder alignment to keep projects on track.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and align engineering, purchasing, quality, and industrialisation teams across complex and/or multi-project environments.
- Reporting & Transparency: Track and report project progress, costs, milestones, and risks to management and customers.
- Technical Alignment: Maintain a deep understanding of battery management systems, and embedded systems to guide discussions and challenge solutions where needed.
- Process & Strategy Contribution: Shape project strategies, influence internal processes, and contribute to best practices across program management.
- Mentoring & Team Development: Support and mentor other Technical Project Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
What you bring with you
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, electronics, energy systems, or a related field.
- Extensive Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience in automotive and/or stationary energy environments, including responsibility for SOP and industrialization milestones.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery packs, and electronics-based systems.
- Project Management Skills: Strong background in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with full ownership of quality, cost, and timeline.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead complex stakeholder landscapes, including customers, suppliers, and executive interfaces.
- Problem Solving: Independent, proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving critical issues autonomously.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; German is a plus.
- Use AI tools to track project timelines, predict delays and risks, and automate reporting.
- Leverage data and AI-based dashboards to monitor project variables, analyze customer requirements, and support data-driven decisions.
- Derive insights on team velocity, resource gaps, and project performance using statistical and data-driven methods.
