This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Onsite is part of the South Staffordshire Group - a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses - offering long-term development and career progression.

Are you an experienced Project Manager with strong commercial acumen and a background in UV, water, or process engineering projects? We're looking for a driven and commercially focused Project Manager to lead UV industry projects from Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) through to successful completion.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering technically complex projects while ensuring strong financial performance and client satisfaction.

The Role:

As Project Manager - UV Lining, you will take full ownership of project pricing, planning, and delivery. From ECI stage through to handover, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required technical and quality standards - all while achieving target gross margins.

You will also collaborate closely with the wider Project Management team to drive consistency, strong project controls, and best-practice delivery.

Commercial & Financial Management
  • Lead project pricing and cost planning from ECI through to contract award
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
  • Monitor WIP, variations, and cost-to-complete forecasts
  • Protect and drive project margin performance
  • Identify value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities
  • Contribute to monthly financial reporting

Project Planning & Delivery
  • Develop detailed project execution plans and programmes
  • Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Monitor progress and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and quality standards

Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)
  • Provide technical and commercial input during tender and ECI phases
  • Support constructability reviews and risk identification
  • Assist in scope definition and pricing accuracy
  • Work collaboratively with clients and consultants

Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee documentation, handover, and close-out processes

What you'll need:

Essential:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within UV, water, wastewater, or process engineering
  • Strong understanding of ECI project delivery models
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, cost control, and margin management
  • Excellent commercial and financial awareness
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
  • Engineering or technical background in UV systems or water treatment
  • Experience within EPC, Design & Build, or framework contracts
  • Knowledge of contract forms such as NEC

What you'll get in return:
  • Family-Friendly Leave
Enhanced Maternity, Adoption, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave, Fertility Support, and up to 5 paid Carer's Days.
  • Financial & Life Assurance
Life Assurance cover (role dependant) and a Company Pension Scheme with salary sacrifice options.
  • Health & Wellbeing
Employee Assistance Programme (8 counselling sessions) and 24/7 Virtual GP access for you and your dependents.
  • Lifestyle & Perks
Cycle to Work Scheme and My Premier Benefits discounts, cashback, and vouchers.
  • Professional Development
Hands-on training and ongoing career development opportunities
  • Inclusion & Belonging
Active People Networks - Disability & Neurodiversity, Unity+, Women's Network, Parent & Carer Networking Group and more.
  • Performance & Recognition
Annual salary review, Reward & Recognition Scheme, and Long Service Awards.
  • Flexibility & Opportunities
Overtime available and flexible shifts / hybrid working (role dependant)
