Role Overview

The Project Manager will take full ownership of fit-out projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role suits a confident, client-facing leader who thrives in a fast-paced D&B environment and enjoys working closely with designers, commercial teams, and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of CAT A & CAT B fit-out projects across London and the South East.
• Manage project programmes, sequencing, procurement schedules, and risk registers.
• Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
• Act as the primary client interface, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships.
• Work closely with design, commercial, and pre-construction teams to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical details to identify risks, clashes, or value-engineering opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, H&S legislation, and industry standards (including CDM).
• Manage project budgets, variations, and cost reporting in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Lead progress meetings, produce reports, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Drive a positive site culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out projects within a D&B or main contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, M&E coordination, and design management.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and make confident decisions under pressure.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost control.
• Proficient in project management software and reporting tools.
• A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to high standards.

Qualifications

• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS (Managerial level preferred)
• First Aid at Work
• Relevant construction or project management qualifications (desirable)
