Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of multiple concurrent game projects, ensuring they meet scope, quality, time, and cost objectives.
- Responsible for defining, maintaining, and optimising studio-wide delivery frameworks, processes, and governance standards.
- Responsible for ensuring the game teams are following the correct game delivery processes.
- Responsible for creating Game Delivery plans, and overall capacity forecasting, for both Interactive and retail markets. This includes aligning studio resources to the overall demand plan.
- Responsible for scheduling and running gates. This includes collating all the necessary documentation for each gate stage.
- Responsible for the tracking and reporting costs and progress on all studio games. This includes the escalation of delivery, cost, or scope risks early and implementing mitigation strategies that maintain project delivery stability.
- Responsible for the overseeing project managers and product owners, ensuring that all roles within the project delivery are aligned, working effectively to deliver the studio roadmap.
- Responsible for providing and maintaining best practice guidance for project managers and product owners within the studio.
- Responsible for scheduling project kick-offs.
- Responsible for working to help obtain external approvals for games e.g. Compliance, Legal, Customer approvals. This includes handling communication with third party bodies where necessary.
- Responsible for communicating project progress to roadmap owners.
- Responsible for the timely delivery of game packages to the Release Team.
- Responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery timescales and quality across the studio.
- Responsible for the mentoring, coaching, and supporting project managers and product owners helping them strengthen delivery skills and progress in their careers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in project management withing a complex delivery environment.
- Proven success in leading delivery for multi-disciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Good understanding of project management and product ownership methodologies
- Proficiency in Project Management tools e.g. MS Project, Monday.com
Beneficial Experience
- Project management and Product Ownership within the gaming industry.
- Formal Project management qualification e.g Prince 2
