Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) is preparing to relaunch, and we are seeking experienced aviation professionals to shape and grow the airport for the future.

This is an opportunity to play a part in the future of one of the UKs most promising regional airports. As part of our team, you will support the leadership team in building a modern, resilient, and sustainable aviation hub that serves the regions and sets new standards for environmental responsibility.

About the role:

The Utilities Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of utilities-focused capital, renewal, and improvement projects across the airport estate. The role supports safe, compliant, and resilient airport operations by delivering utilities infrastructure that underpins terminal, airfield, and landside activities, aligned to the wider strategic objectives for the Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) site.

Operating within a live and safety-critical aviation environment, the postholder will manage projects covering electrical power, water, drainage, energy, and communications networks, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, budget, programme, and quality standards while minimising disruption to airport operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of utilities infrastructure projects from inception through to commissioning and handover, maintaining full lifecycle control.
  • Ensure all utilities works are delivered in compliance with statutory requirements, aviation standards, health & safety legislation, and airport policies.
  • Apply robust project governance, financial control, programme management, and reporting arrangements in line with airport and corporate frameworks.
  • Coordinate utilities isolations, shutdowns, diversions, and commissioning to maintain operational continuity for terminals, airfield systems, and airlines.
  • Work closely with Airport Operations, Airfield Operations, Engineering & Asset Management, Safety & Compliance, ATC, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead engagement with contractors, consultants, and network operators (e.g. DNOs, water and gas companies) to ensure safe and coordinated delivery.
  • Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, and constraints, providing practical and compliant solutions in a complex operational environment.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation, assurance records, and handover information to support audits and regulatory inspections.

The successful candidate

You will bring proven experience in the delivery of utilities or infrastructure projects within an aviation, transport or similarly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and civil utilities systems and their integration within operational facilities. You will have a sound knowledge of project and programme management methodologies and their practical application, along with a thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations and contract management in live environments. You will have a strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational resilience, coupled with a solutions focused mindset and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that Doncaster Sheffield Airport thrives. You will also have access to a variety of attractive employee benefits including competitive leave entitlement and a generous pension scheme.

Please ensure you view the job summary as you will need to demonstrate in your application form how you meet the required criteria.
