Are you an experienced development professional looking for your next challenge? Saxon Weald are recruiting for a Development Project Manager to join our team and oversee the delivery of our new build affordable homes as part of our development strategy, ensuring that new homes are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

As our Development Project Manager, you'll take ownership of development schemes from contract award right through to handover and the end of the defect liability period. You'll visit sites regularly to monitor progress and build quality, working closely with contractors, colleagues and partners to ensure compliance with contracts, regulations and best practice. You'll manage budgets, risks and programme timelines, keeping everything on track and maintaining clear, accurate reporting. You'll also play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving defects efficiently and taking a proactive, solutions-focused approach throughout the lifecycle of each scheme.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
  • Have experience managing the end-to-end delivery of new build development schemes, from contract award through to end of defect liability period
  • Have experience working in a housing association/social housing environment.
  • Bring strong project management skills, within housing, development or construction
  • Have good knowledge of planning, construction, contract management, and legal processes.
  • Be confident managing budgets, cashflows, risks, and multiple project demands.
  • Be able to build effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, colleagues and local authorities.
  • Communicate clearly, work proactively and maintain excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate sound Health & Safety knowledge and apply CDM principles in your work.
  • Use strong administrative and organisational skills to maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Have a full UK driving license and your own vehicle
