Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex IT and digital projects within our Health Business Unit. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of high-profile and often high-risk digital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will play a critical role in driving project governance, managing delivery teams and suppliers, and ensuring alignment with organisational technology standards. This role ensures consistent delivery practices and supports the successful execution of strategic IT initiatives.

As part of this you'll:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT work packages and digital projects, ensuring scope, quality, time, and cost objectives are met, while managing change, risks, dependencies, and resources effectively.
  • Direct internal delivery teams and external suppliers, maintaining performance, adherence to methodology, and alignment with contractual SLAs.
  • Monitor project budgets, track financials, and optimise resource allocation across internal teams and suppliers.
  • Plan and coordinate service acceptance with operational teams to ensure solutions are fully supported and ready for service.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation in accessible repositories, ensuring baselining for ongoing operations.
  • Chair delivery team meetings, support project boards, and ensure reporting and governance compliance with PMO standards.
  • Communicate consistently with stakeholders including Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Resource Managers to ensure alignment with organisational strategy and DDaT objectives.

What you'll need to do the role:
  • Significant experience delivering complex digital or IT transformation projects.
  • Proven track record delivering technology projects on time and to quality standards.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including working with senior business leaders.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and external technology partners.
  • Demonstrated experience managing: project scope and change, budgets and milestone delivery, risks, issues, and dependencies, delivery backlogs and work packages
  • Good understanding of: systems integration, software development lifecycle methodologies, quality assurance and testing processes, requirements gathering and systems analysis, application development and system architecture
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
  • Ability to anticipate delivery challenges and develop contingency plans
  • Resilience and professionalism in high-pressure delivery environments
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking capabilities
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM certification (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to undergo BPSS security clearance (and SC if required)
