JOB PURPOSE
International Systems Engineering (ISE) provide the IT capability and service both onsite and centrally to all projects and programmes in BAE Systems Saudi Arabia and to our partner companies, BAE Systems Saudi Development and Training and SMSCMC.
ISE is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.
Project Manager is responsible for the management of one or more large projects or a single large programme consisting of multiple projects. The Project Manager may also be responsible for the management of strategic proposals. As PM, he/she is responsible for delivery of all contracts under their control to the agreed scope, time, cost and quality constraints. The Project Manager may also have departmental responsibility, and therefore will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the departmental IBP.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Management
• Ensure compliance with the ISE BMM/BMS/Gated Review Framework.
Management of large, strategic projects or programmes
• Work closely with senior customer and suppliers representatives to maintain/build a good working relationship to manage large, strategic projects or programmes.
• Negotiation with senior customers and supplier representatives.
• Coordinating project/programme reporting via CSR to the business
Lead and motivate the Project Team
Manage risks at a programme level
• Ensure changes in project scope are handled appropriately
Functional Knowledge
Holding an advance Project Management qualification (APMQ, Prince etc.)
• In depth understanding and experience of the whole project lifecycle
• Project estimating
• Significant experience of Risk and Opportunity Management at a programme level
• Significant experience of Cost and Budget Management at a programme level
• Significant experience of Resource Management at a programme/departmental level
• Change control processes and management
• Team Leading of multiple projects
• In depth understanding of supply chain management
• In depth understanding of project commercial activities
Problem Solving:
• Project planning and scope definition
• Solution of complex project problems
• Negotiation of programme scope with senior customer or supplier representatives
• Ability to assess risks at a programme level and assess risk mitigation or contingency plans
• Ability to resolve project issues, either directly or through appropriate escalation channels
Business Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of ISE business processes and functions
• In depth knowledge of ISE market, especially contractual relationships with RSAF/SANG etc.
• Experience of building strategic relationships with customers and suppliers
• Development and maintenance of IBP and business planning concepts
People Management:
• Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent
• Manage, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with the policies and procedures
• Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise the team and regular feedback on performance
• Promote a high-performance working environment and ISE's values.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
• A minimum of 10- 15 years experience in IT Services, or IT Solutions is a must with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proven ability to design, and manage the implementation of software architecture
• Proven ability to manage projects
• Advanced knowledge in a project scheduling tool e.g. MS Project
• Fluent in English
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognized university.
