Project Manager I - With experience in Oracle Finance & Databricks

Location: Leicester, hybrid 3 days from site

Type: 6 months fixed term definite contract

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in Oracle Finance and Databricks to lead enterprise-level finance and data transformation programmes. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in delivering complex IT projects, driving system integrations, and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As a key leader, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful implementation of Oracle Financials and modern data platforms that enable scalable, data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for Oracle Finance and Databricks implementation initiatives.
• Manage project planning, scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Partner with Finance, Data Engineering, and Business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure strategic alignment.
• Drive Oracle Financial modules implementations and enhancements, ensuring high-quality functional outcomes.
• Oversee Databricks-based data platform initiatives, including data pipelines, integration, and analytics solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration between Oracle Finance systems and modern data platforms.
• Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Lead and coordinate vendor teams alongside internal delivery teams.
• Provide regular status reports and executive-level updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with Agile or Waterfall methodologies, as appropriate.
• Drive quality assurance, testing activities, and successful go-live deployments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of Project Management experience delivering large-scale enterprise IT initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Financials (EBS or Oracle Fusion).
• Solid understanding of key finance modules, including: General Ledger (GL); Accounts Payable (AP);Accounts Receivable (AR);Fixed Assets (FA);Cash Management.
• Experience working with the Databricks data platform.
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts such as ETL, data lakes, and data pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
