Job Introduction

What you'll do

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of planned investment programmes across our homes. Working within the Planned Investment Team, you'll assist with cyclical works, retrofit projects, and kitchen and bathroom upgrades. This is an ideal entry-level role for someone looking to develop skills in project management while working alongside experienced colleagues to help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, to high standards, and with excellent customer care.

How you'll do it
  • Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in delivering planned investment programmes, ensuring contractors complete work on time, to the expected quality, and within budget.
  • Raise and receipt purchase orders and works orders, working closely with the Finance Team to maintain smooth financial processes.
  • Attend contractor meetings, draft minutes, and follow up on actions to support compliance with organisational standards.
  • Assist with resident engagement by preparing communications, attending consultations, and responding to enquiries so residents feel informed and supported throughout the works.
  • Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement by observing processes, sharing feedback, and suggesting more efficient ways of working.
  • Update cost records, contribute to financial reporting, and develop understanding of basic budget variance checks.
  • Support contract administration, including issuing instructions and maintaining compliance records.
  • Contact residents to arrange access to properties, helping to keep programmes on schedule.
  • Work with contractors, resident liaison officers, and operational colleagues to ensure residents receive timely and clear updates.
  • Attend site visits with Project Managers or Surveyors to observe works and ensure contractors meet required standards.
  • Follow all organisational policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, financial regulations, and statutory responsibilities.
  • Participate in hybrid working arrangements, spending at least three days a week in the office or on site.
