About the role

Are you ready to play a key role in one of the UK's largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects? At Balfour Beatty, we're recruiting for a Project Manager to join us at Old Oak Common.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the Temporary Site Services (TSS) package or support the Senior Project Manager in coordinating a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary activities. You'll be at the heart of a live, high-profile project where collaboration, safety, and engineering excellence are at the forefront.

What you'll be doing
  • Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of TSS works, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are met.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring full inductions, strong communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage sub-contractors, track progress, and ensure resources are aligned with the project plan.
  • Maintain accurate site and progress records, produce short-term programmes, and lead regular team meetings.
  • Champion Zero Harm, conduct Safety & Environment Tours, and support incident investigations.
  • Drive productivity through effective planning, KPI monitoring, operational target programmes and performance reviews.
  • Ensure site logistics, risk management and cost control are embedded in daily operations.
  • Support quality assurance activities, site audits and improvement initiatives.
Who we're looking for

We're seeking someone who can bring strong leadership, structure, and energy to a large, fast-paced project environment. You will have:
  • A proven track record in managing operational delivery in the construction industry.
  • Experience communicating safe systems of work and implementing process improvements.
  • The ability to lead teams effectively, delegate appropriately, and communicate clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A flexible, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence in delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders.
  • CSCS card and SMSTS qualification (essential).
