The Role:
Hampshire County Council is one of the best performing local authorities in the country providing high quality public services to over a million customers. Our IT teams are central to that success - building and delivering Digitally Optimised and cost-effective solutions, with a national reputation for IT excellence, innovation, and value.
We're seeking an IT Project Manager for a 12-month contract (maternity cover), with significant skills and experience of managing end to end delivery of large, complex projects.
What you'll do:
As well as being the driving force behind project delivery, you'll be required to maintain a responsive and effective working relationship with colleagues and customers across the business representing and upholding the integrity and effectiveness of the IT Department.
Our Projects and Programmes Team is a busy and dynamic change function, supporting the departments of the authority to deliver transformation, savings, and service improvements whilst working within formal governance structures and processes.
What we're looking for:
You must be creative and innovative, with strong competence in financial management and ability to present and report to senior management. You will also be self-motivated and committed to ongoing personal development.
If you'd like the opportunity to develop your Project Management skills and experience while helping the organisation to transform, then this could be the role for you!
Why join us?
