Purpose of the job:

The Customer Project Manager is accountable to manage complex projects, for our Optical Transport Business Line. She/he ensures efficient communication to team members, internal & external customers and suppliers. She/he is able to have the bigger picture in mind in order to drive issue resolution, anticipate problems and foster quick decisions, while having a strong cost, time and quality oriented mindset.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of complex cross-functional projects,
• Conduct project meetings to ensure cross-functional teams meet or exceed anticipated project benefits timely, within budget, and with the desired level of quality
• Identify and resolve issues proactively and balancing schedule, scope, and cost constraints creatively,
• Handle interpersonal dynamics within project teams to ensure decisions are taken in a timely manner, negotiate changes to project plans, and hold team members accountable for delivery on commitments,
• Work effectively with internal and external clients, third party vendors, and senior management in accomplishing project objectives,
• Help infuse process discipline, systems thinking, and critical tools deep into the organization thereby improving company's capacity for effective and efficient project management. Identify and share innovative ways to reduce project implementation timeline and cost of project development.
• Manage the internal and external project steering committees
• Identify and mitigate risks on a continuous basis
• Timely seek help from colleagues or management, able to trigger escalations when necessary and in due course.
• Manage Change Requests and identify upsell

Skills and profile:

Profile:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Scientific subject area is required. Master's degree preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Agile Project Management certification of equivalent.
• 5-8 years project leadership experience.
• Excellent facilitation, relationship building, communication.

Skills:

• Excellent project management skills with knowledge of Excel or Project Management tracking software (e.g., Microsoft Project, SciForma, Jira).
• Detail oriented; strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Comfort and confidence in interacting with / presenting to all levels in an organization.
• Good eye for business. Ability to manage P&L and ensure profitability.
• Ability to influence effectively without authority.
• Propensity for identifying issues proactively, making decisions with incomplete information, and driving action.
• Strong experience in customer relation
• Ability to give oral presentations in English
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Experience in Agile development coordination
• Experience in Quality mngt systems - ISO9001, CMMi or equivalent
• Experience with AI tools for Project Management
