Job Advert Description

Project Manager - FHQ Colwyn Bay

To support North Wales Police to deliver it's change projects and programmes through co-ordination of change programmes and projects, ensuring that deadlines are met, and products are delivered to a high quality within time scales.

Within this work, the post holder will have responsibility to identify, assess, recommend and implement organisational change and financial investment, new technologies, business process changes and solutions which support the ability to accomplish the objectives linked to the above change initiatives

Minimum criteria for the role:
  • The ability to communicate at executive level internally and across other organisations at director level
  • The ability to construct from a number of sources, detailed operational and financial projections
  • Educated to degree standard or possess equivalent amount of proven relevant project management experience.
  • Proven track record in a Research and Development role. Delivering new innovative solutions and processes using a strong logical approach.
  • An ability to transfer strategic perspectives into practicable and operational processes.
  • An ability to understand complex issues, reducing them to their essential elements and being able to identify, assess implications, evaluate and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Well evidenced skills in:

- Verbal and written Welsh and English communication.

- Presentation methods.

- Office technology including all aspects of Microsoft Office.
  • Highly developed inter-personal skills with the ability to build and maintain a comprehensive network of contacts in and outside of North Wales Police.
  • Experience of assimilating and interpreting large quantities of data, providing management information / statistics.
  • Awareness of Data Protection, Management of Police Information and Systems Administration processes
  • Possess strong technical knowledge in the relevant fields.
  • Excellent organisational skills, together with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
