The opportunity

We are seeking a senior, delivery-orientated Project Manager with a proven track record of getting difficult things done in complex organisations. This role requires a professional who is comfortable operating at pace, navigating ambiguity, and holding senior stakeholders to account while maintaining momentum and focus on outcomes.

You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of large, complex initiatives across multi-team environments, often with competing priorities, political sensitivity, and challenging stakeholders. This is not a coordination role - it is a hands-on delivery position.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and drive end-to-end project delivery, from mobilisation through to implementation and handover.

Engage confidently with senior leaders, executives, and external partners, influencing decisions and resolving conflict.

Establish clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and controls in complex environments.

Coordinate and lead project team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.

Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues and risks.

Challenge unrealistic expectations and provide clear, evidence-based delivery forecasts.

Drive accountability across teams and suppliers, ensuring commitments are met.

Actively manage scope, risk, issues, and interdependencies - escalating early and constructively. Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including status reports, risk assessments, and project metrics.

Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Be flexible and capable of working with UK and international stakeholders across multiple locations. This includes being adaptable to different time zones, cultures, and working environments to ensure effective collaboration and communication.

Have experience with software and integration projects. This means having a solid understanding of software development life cycles, integration processes, and the ability to manage technical teams (internal & external) to deliver successful projects.

Be highly proficient in the use of Jira and confluence.

Be accustomed to working with both external and senior stakeholders.

Have proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the insurance industry.

Possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Experience in co-ordinating multi-disciplined teams Development tech leads, Architects, Product owners and managers.

Demonstrate excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Exhibit strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to manage and motivate team members effectively.

Be pragmatic, assertive, and willing to challenge when required.

Have proven success operating within large enterprises or complex organisational structures.

Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels. This includes being able to convey complex information clearly and concisely, listen actively, and resolve conflicts diplomatically.

Hold a PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification (preferred).
