Role responsibility:

As a Project Manager (f/m/d), you will be responsible for managing projects (regional and national) in the field of hydraulic engineering (waterways and port construction, flood protection, locks, weirs, dams, retention basins). Your tasks will include:
  • Management of project teams from the preparation of the basic principles and design to the implementation planning, tendering and implementation of the construction measures
  • Ensuring that our projects are implemented in accordance with the order, on time and in accordance with quality
  • Coordination and coordination with internal and external project participants, working groups and subcontractors
  • Support in acquisition, business development
  • Preparation of offers and contact person for customers

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and for the satisfaction of our customers. You're proud of the role you play in reshaping the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You will also bring with you:
  • Degree in civil engineering, ideally with a focus on hydraulic engineering, civil engineering or structural engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in management, preparation of offers and processing of projects in the field of hydraulic engineering
  • Diplomatic skills, intercultural sensitivity and professional appearance
  • Motivated to support customers and a sincere interest in their needs
  • Independent worker, strong communication skills, enthusiasm and commitment
  • Well-organized and goal-oriented way of working
  • Language skills:
    • business proficient in English,
    • interested to learn German up to at least B2 Level (Arcadis provides language courses),
    • proficiency in one other European language (Dutch, French, Polish, Romanian,) is a plus one in view of our increased cross-border collaboration.
  • Willingness to live in Hamburg for at least two and a half years (preferred option), hybrid options with a presence at the beautiful Hamburg office of at minimum 3 days a week (after a six-week fulltime onboarding period) open for discussion.
