The Role

We're looking for a motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic Project Manager who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You'll lead automation and control projects from concept to completion-working closely with clients, engineers and delivery teams to bring complex technical solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery
  • Lead automation projects from start to finish, driving progress and momentum.
  • Manage programmes, budgets and resources while keeping stakeholders fully informed.
  • Coordinate quoting, design, build, testing and commissioning phases with energy and clarity.
  • Ensuring full compliance with NEC contractual requirements.

Technical & Quality
  • Provide clear leadership and coordination across PLC, SCADA/HMI, industrial network and panel-build workstreams, ensuring teams stay aligned and supported throughout delivery.
  • Keep visibility of technical documentation and FAT/SAT activities to ensure tasks progress smoothly, issues are raised early, and the team has what they need to complete their work effectively.
  • Promote a strong focus on quality, helping the team deliver outputs that meet client expectations and align with agreed project requirements.

Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a positive safety and wellbeing culture and ensure all H&S requirements are met.

Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary client contact, building strong, positive working relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with subcontractors, OEMs and internal teams to keep projects moving.

Planning & Commercials
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts and change control with accuracy and ownership.
  • Plan resources and material deliveries effectively.
  • Spot opportunities for improvement and value engineering.

About You

Essential
  • Experience managing automation, control or electrical projects in industrial or utilities settings.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, SCADA/HMI and industrial networks.
  • Confident communicator with excellent project and risk management capability.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing projects under NEC contracts,

Desirable
  • PRINCE2, APM or an engineering qualification.
