What are you going to do?

As a Project Manager within our company, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of projects. The projects you will be working on range from products in the semiconductor industry to systems in the quantum and space fields.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, both large and small, to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget.

When a lead for a project comes in from our business development team, as a prospective Project Manager on the project you prepare the quotation, alongside the provisional project planning and budget. This is done in close cooperation with architects, lead engineers in their discipline and business development.

Once the order comes in, the real fun starts. You set-up the project plan and execution of the project in accordance with our developmental way-of-work and quality management system.

You are the main point of contact with the customer and align with all stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Progress is monitored. Where changes have to be made, be it to team resources or deliverables for example, you anticipate and initiate these changes.You identify projects risks, lead the way in mitigation efforts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Last, you provide regular project updates to management and stakeholders.

Due to the complex nature of the systems we design and the often challenging timelines, communication and expectation management skills are important.

What do you bring to the table?

• Completed a BSc or MSc degree in higher education or university, in an Engineering, Physics or technical business field
• You have a minimum 4 years of experience working in a project management role in an engineering or high-tech environment
• You can work independently, have a pro-active attitude and have the communication skills to deal with many different stakeholders.
• You have the organizational skills to manage 2-4 projects at the same time.
• You are a team-player and have good interpersonal skills.
• Experience with delivery of aerospace technology and/or space systems is an advantage.
