Job Description
The Role
Do you thrive in a dynamic working environment where you can use your project management skills to tackle a broad range of challenges? If so, you may be who we are looking for!
The Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) has a great opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Change Project Manager within our Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) on a 1-year fixed term contract basis. You would be joining a small, dedicated team with primary alignment to our Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) however, you will also support Counter Terrorism Policing projects if appropriate and required.
You will need to have the tenacity to get things done using your extensive project management experience and knowledge - bringing others with you as you do so.
We're not only looking for someone who has experience managing complex projects, but someone who can respond positively to dynamic situations, be adaptable in the way that they work to meet the needs of the unit and someone who will engage with, and drive forward, programmes of work be they national, regional or local.
ERSOU - Who we are and what we do
Created in 2010, ERSOU is funded by the seven police forces that make up the eastern region, with Bedfordshire Police being the lead force. ERSOU is made up of both Officers and Police Staff from across the entire region and works closely with the 7 Forces and National Partners. The departments are unique, in that they offer opportunities to work and develop individuals professionally in specialist areas, often delivering capabilities that are provided by local forces.
Working for ERSOU presents a fantastic opportunity for you to learn and develop within a unique law enforcement community whose staff and officers are dedicated to protecting the public from the threat of terrorism and serious and organised crime.
We are committed to building a leadership team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We actively encourage applications from individuals who are currently underrepresented at senior levels, including women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates, disabled people, and those from LGBTQ+ communities.
We value the unique perspectives and experience that diverse leadership brings and welcome candidates who can help us drive inclusive policing and community engagement.
