About The Role:

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic technology initiatives supporting our Academic and Government, STMJ, and Corporate Markets business units. This role owns outcomes across complex projects, driving value through agile delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and strong governance. You will ensure stakeholder alignment, measurable business impact, and seamless integration with Elsevier's broader technology ecosystem to enable data-driven research and public impact.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Delivery Ownership

  • Own end-to-end delivery from discovery to benefits realization, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
  • Translate strategy into clear delivery roadmaps with defined milestones and success metrics.
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable solutions that enhance customer experience and enable future growth.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships across product, engineering, data, and executive stakeholders to align objectives and outcomes.
  • Ensure clear communication, transparency, and timely decisions to keep initiatives on track and stakeholders engaged.

Agile & Scaled Delivery Excellence:

  • Support the planning and delivery of complex projects, ensuring clear outcomes and business value.
  • Develop and maintain delivery plans and roadmaps across technology, change, operations, and go-to-market activities.
  • Manage day-to-day execution, coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking progress against milestones.
  • Apply agile ways of working and support teams in meeting delivery commitments.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating early with recommended actions.
  • Maintain governance, reporting, and delivery metrics in line with Elsevier Technology standards

Continuous Improvement
  • Apply and promote delivery best practices to improve execution quality, predictability, and outcomes across projects.
  • Contribute to building scalable, future-ready delivery capabilities that support long-term business and platform evolution.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience leading and delivering complex projects end-to-end in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Agile and Lean delivery methodologies, translating strategy and product vision into actionable delivery plans.
  • Demonstrated project leadership, driving execution, managing dependencies, and proactively mitigating risks and issues.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills with a delivery-focused mindset.
  • Experience using delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data, analytics, digital platforms, or GenAI initiatives is a plus.
