Subject to Board approval, a single NHS Trust will be designated as the employer for this service, with relevant staff transferring. Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Education to a minimum of degree qualification or equivalent senior level experience.
- In-depth knowledge of public sector Procurement and Supply Chain legislation.
- Knowledge of Government Best Practice in Healthcare Procurement.
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
- Contract Management Qualification such as Government Commercial College or CCM, or equivalent experience.
Desirable criteria
- Masters Degree level or equivalent qualification specifically in a discipline directly related to post.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantive experience in leading Procurement teams.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of managing high value Procurement and Supply Chain activities within public and / or health sector.
- Demonstrable significant staff management and development experience.
- Significant previous experience of project management within a large, complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.
- Experience of working across a multi-disciplined environment, successfully leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes, policies and procedures.
- Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Evidence of developing complex strategies, business plans and programmes and leveraging commercial acumen.
- Experience in being responsible for financial resources including budgeting for a major area, budget setting and monitoring.

Essential criteria
- Advanced computer literacy, including Advanced Excel with ability to manipulate complex data.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to forge effective professional relationships.
- Problem solving and highly developed analytical skills.
- Ability to work on a number of related projects simultaneously.
- Highly complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.
- Formulate long term strategic plans, involving uncertainty, impact on organisation.
- Skilled in being able to conduct analysis on complex data sets to provide concise insights.
