We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to join our team on the N1/N2 Headhouse Project in Birmingham , a key part of the HS2 programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a landmark infrastructure project that will transform the UK's transport network.
As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities across the N1/N2 Headhouse works. You will ensure delivery is safe, efficient, and aligned with programme, cost, and quality objectives.

What you'll be doing
As a Construction Manager you will be:
- Managing and coordinating multiple work packages and site teams
- Ensuring all works are delivered safely in line with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Driving programme delivery and ensuring alignment with project milestones
- Overseeing subcontractor performance, coordination, and compliance
- Working closely with engineering, commercial, and planning functions
- Monitoring quality and ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Reviewing and approving method statements, risk assessments, and construction documentation
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving site issues
- Reporting on progress, performance, and key risks to senior stakeholders
- Promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will have the following:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar leadership role on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Strong background in heavy civils, structures, or reinforced concrete works
- Experience managing complex interfaces and multiple subcontractors
- Solid understanding of construction planning and programme management
- In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
