We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SEND Transformation Project Manager to lead and deliver meaningful change across Special Educational Needs and Disabilities services. This is a pivotal role for a driven professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND and ensuring services are inclusive, effective, and future-focused.

As SEND Transformation Project Manager, you will oversee the design and implementation of strategic transformation programmes, including Yorks SEND Local Area delivery plan, working collaboratively with education, health, and social care partners. You will play a key role in driving service improvement, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and embedding best practice across all areas of SEND provision.

You will be responsible for managing complex projects, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as you will be working with senior leaders, schools, families, and external partners to co-produce sustainable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND legislation and policy, proven experience in programme or project management, and a track record of delivering large-scale transformation initiatives. You will be highly organised, resilient, and able to navigate change in a fast-paced environment.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly.
