The Role
An established and growing civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a range of infrastructure projects across Yorkshire.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing multiple projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing project teams, including both internal staff and subcontractors
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Leading projects through all stages, ensuring governance and approvals are achieved
• Preparing and delivering regular project reports (progress, costs, programme, resources)
• Driving a strong health & safety culture across all sites
• Managing contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
• Overseeing project delivery including programme, cost control, and risk management
• Supporting site teams with technical understanding of engineering and delivery methods

About You

• Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects as a Project Manager
• Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
• Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
• Able to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction, or similar
• Strong background in project management within construction or engineering
• Experience in water (clean or wastewater) projects (desirable)
• Good understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements
• Full UK Driving Licence

Certifications (desirable or expected):

• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• Temporary Works Coordinator
• First Aid at Work
• Confined Spaces / Streetworks / CAT & Genny
• Health & Safety certifications
