Work Location

• The role is campus-based. WMG staff are expected to be on campus more days than working remotely. During the induction phase you'll be required to work 100% in the office.

Are you a Project Manager with a passion for engineering and a strong track record of launching and leading new projects and teams?

WMG is seeking a Project Manager to play a key role in delivering innovative research in a variety of engineering and manufacturing fields. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and talented Project Manager with an interest in engineering research to oversee impactful, high-profile projects. In this role, you will work closely with academics and stakeholders to provide high-quality management across a diverse research portfolio.

You'll be joining a large, supportive, and multidisciplinary team of academics and engineers with varied expertise and interests.

About You

You will have significant industry project management experience, ideally with relevant technical experience, and be a confident and articulate communicator, as the role provides opportunities to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as providing an engaging dynamic working environment as part of our wider project team.

You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that can be applied to multidisciplinary projects.

The ideal candidate will be a technically competent, experienced project management professional and have strong people skills.

Experience of working in both research and educational settings would be advantageous.
