Head of Planning, Construction & Commissioning (all genders)

Your future tasks:

• Strategy & Governance: Define and implement construction and commissioning strategies, standards, and governance frameworks covering HSE, quality, schedule, and cost, ensuring consistency across a matrix organisation.
• Leadership & People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop Construction & Commissioning teams across multiple projects, driving performance, capability building, succession planning, and a high-performance culture.
• Resource & Portfolio Management: Support effective resource planning, prioritisation, and allocation across the project portfolio.
• Contractor & Execution Oversight: Oversee installation contractors, fabrication yards, and commissioning teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution throughout all phases.
• Interface & Risk Management: Manage interfaces between engineering, package management, and execution, identifying and mitigating cross-functional and cross-package risks.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Engineering, Package Management, Project Management, and HSE to enable integrated planning, sequencing, and execution readiness.
• Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs, provide consolidated reporting to senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement through best practices and lessons learned.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in offshore wind or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven background in hands-on construction and/or commissioning roles
• Demonstrated career progression from technical execution roles into leadership positions.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities across multi-layered team structures.
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional coordination skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Ability to challenge and guide contractors and teams based on first-hand technical experience.
• Deep, practical understanding of offshore construction, installation, and commissioning activities, gained through direct involvement in execution.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills in complex delivery settings
