We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Ground Engineering team in Elgin, Scotland.
Role purpose: To have overall accountability for successful project delivery including; initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out. Change agent that provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal. To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints; time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.
What you'll be doing
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of key initiatives within our organisation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a structured approach to project management, including regular project reviews, accurate documentation, and clear scope definition. Responsibilities include updating essential documents such as the Digital Briefcase, maintaining comprehensive project records, managing configuration and timely reporting, and making informed decisions to keep projects aligned with strategic objectives.
As Project Manager, you will be committed to ensuring a safe and productive work environment, with a strong focus on Zero Harm. Duties encompass conducting safety and environmental tours, supporting accident investigations, staying abreast of legislative changes, and safeguarding the welfare of the public, employees, and the supply chain. You will also be responsible for overseeing health and safety systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Resource planning and team development are essential elements of this role. You will develop and update resource allocation plans, produce actionable strategies for achieving team goals, and foster talent pipelines through internal training, mentoring, and performance management. Regular risk and opportunity reviews, robust change control processes, and precise cost management will be vital to balancing operational and commercial constraints for optimum project outcomes.
The successful candidate will be accountable for KPIs, assurance activities, and the integration of digital data tools to enable consistent, data-driven project delivery. Strong procurement and supply chain management, effective reporting routines, and adherence to digital standards are crucial for delivering projects efficiently, within budget, and in line with organisational strategy.

Who we're looking for

- Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery;
- Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts;
- Proficient in commercial/project management communications;
- Experience in implementing safe systems of work;
- Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of
the organisation; - Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire
others to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to
members of the team where required; - Commercially astute;
- Able to undertake work in high pressure situations;
- Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics;
- Record of a solution-based approach to problem solving;
- Ability to see the business vision and inspire this shared vision amongst
the team.
- Experience of working on a variety of project types;
- Member of a professional management body i.e. APM;
- Proficient on O365;
- Holds a current driving licence.
- Formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in management/construction or
experience equivalent; - APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ;
- CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent.
