Junior Project Manager
As a Junior Project Manager, you will support the execution of energy infrastructure projects, contributing to successful delivery with the objective to support projects being delivered safely, on time, on budget, and without incidents. Initially working under the guidance of Senior Project Managers, this role is designed to develop into independent management of smaller projects or defined work packages within approximately 6-8 months.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Projects and requires a proactive and pragmatic individual with strong coordination skills, technical curiosity, and a willingness to grow in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment. Experience in renewable energy, commissioning, electrical infrastructure, civil, mechanical or technical project execution is valued. An agile mindset and comfort working in a dynamic technology-driven environment are essential.

Junior Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Senior Project Managers in the execution and delivery of EPC and equipment supply projects from contract execution through handover to operations.
- Assist in coordinating project activities across engineering, procurement, finance, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Support development and tracking of project schedules, budgets, risk registers, safety plans, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress and support identification and resolution of technical, commercial, or schedule-related issues.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support timely delivery of project milestones.
- Support management of quality issues, punch lists, and non-conformances through project closeout.
- Participate in site activities, commissioning support, and contractor coordination to help ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Assist with customer communications, progress reporting, meeting coordination, and preparation of project status updates.
- Support contract administration, change management, and project controls processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and development of project management best practices.
- After successful onboarding and development, progressively take ownership of smaller projects or defined project scopes with support from senior team members.
- Work in a manner consistent with Fluence values of Leading, Agile, Responsible, and Fun.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, project management, physics, construction management, or related technical discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, engineering, construction, commissioning, or project management, preferably within renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sectors.
- Exposure to utility, electrical, renewable, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Understanding of project scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and basic contract administration principles.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, construction practices, or commissioning processes is an advantage.
- Knowledge of typical engineering codes and standards is desirable.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a matrixed international environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset with willingness to learn and grow.
- Business-level English language skills required.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as project needs require.
