In submitting an application form, you authorise Kettering General Hospital (KGH) NHS Foundation Trust to confirm any previous NHS service details via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process. Including factual reference, occupational health clearance and statutory and mandatory training record.
If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£49.50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £16. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.

- Educated to Degree, Chartered engineer/surveyor or equivalent status level or equivalent level of education, training, or experience.
- Evidence of further education or study to Master's Degree level or equivalent level of training, experience or knowledge
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development, Post Qualification Structured Learning.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- In depth knowledge of NHS Estates and Facilities related standards, HTM's, HBNs, ACOPs, as well as statutory compliance requirements within Health and Safety legislation
- Experience of managing multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience of contract procurement and management
- Experience of budget management (Capital, Revenue) and track record of delivering within financial targets
- Significant experience of delivering NHS Estates and Facilities services which provide VFM and perform in the upper quartile when related to peer benchmarking
- Experience of Capital contract management and successful delivery of complex projects from concept to delivery
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical and non-clinical risk management
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge with regard to Sustainability and Carbon Reduction as it applies to the Healthcare environment
- Author of technical papers
- Experience in a management role in a large complex organisation

- Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to set out a clear direction and inspire staff to deliver quality services
